[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested after recieving Warning and Citation for Loud Music

Lawrence Police responded to a Springfield Street apartment just before 4 a.m. for a loud music complaint.  Upon arrival Officers found a large group yelling, with very loud music playing in the back ground.   Officers identified the individual who rents the apartment as Jorge Pichardo age 30, who stated that they were celebrating his birthday.  He was advised that the music needed to be turned off,  and anyone who did not live there had to leave.  Furthermore, he was instructed that if another complaint was made, and Officers had to return he would receive a $200.00 ticket.  Approximately, 20 minutes later  a second call came into Lawrence Police Dispatch, upon returning a $200.00 ticket was issued for violation of the City’s Noise Ordinance at which time Pichardo was informed that if Officers had to return he would be subject to arrest.  Moments later Officers were dispatched back to the location at which time Pichardo was placed in custody, and charged with keeping a disorderly household.
