Detective
David Moynihan of the Lawrence Police Street Narcotics Units, along with
Massachusetts State Trooper DJ Dolan, who is assigned to the Violent Fugitive Apprehension
Section of the Massachusetts State Police, went to Hillsborough County Jail located
in Manchester, NH to take into custody Kevin Gonzalez age 23 of Lawrence. Gonzalez signed a waiver of extradition
proceedings so that he could answer to a warrant on several firearms related
charges issued from Lawrence District Court. Upon being booked at Lawrence Police
Department, he was transported to Lawrence District Court where he was
arraigned of the arrest warrant.
The warrant
was issued following an investigation into a shots fired incident call, which
took place in late July in the North Parish Road area. The initial
investigation was conducted by Officer George Wood of the Lawrence Police
Patrol Division. A subsequent search warrant was executed on a motor vehicle, which
was believed to be involved in the incident, by Sgt. John Dushame, Detectives
Kevin Nigohosian and Paul MacMillan of the Lawrence Police Detective Division and
members of the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Unit
